SHOOG introduces you, the reader, Holly’s BFF, to her world, a planet which dunked her early-on into abuse, overeating and eventually anorexia. Now it’s 2020. She’s found love, continues to climb uphill, and is quarantined? Some call SHOOG II controversial or crazy – blunt and brazen but real, honest, and sometimes funny. None of the characters is perfect. While Holly fights to stay alive and make a difference during the Covid-19 quarantine, her Grams fights mental illness, her mother finds herself back in a small town, having been a successful business woman, and Holly’s love interest has physical and emotional healing to do. She is ever looking to find the humor in the situation. Daily activity is limited, hospitals are full, and many are going stir-crazy. There’s a supernatural event and a spirit with a sense of humor who could use a giant lip balm when his aura starts to chap. This book is entirely fiction except for the Covid-19 epidemic. Any similarity to people living or dead is purely coincidental.
